You've grabbed a cone — now you can grab a clipboard.

A table with sharpies, flyers, buttons, and a poster that reads "FUND THE BUS"

The ComMUNIty Transit Act is a new community-led ballot measure to fund Muni by taxing ride-hail companies. They're currently gathering signatures to get on the November ballot. And they could really use your help. It needs 10,028 valid signatures by July 8th.

Public transportation in San Francisco is facing a funding emergency after disinvestment from all levels of government. We know that we need competitive Muni service in order to provide a viable alternative to cars. Taxing transportation network companies like Uber, which account for upwards of half the City's congestion increases and VMT, is a win-win for public transportation with this measure.

Many of your Safe Street Rebel pals are already volunteering to collect signatures for the campaign. You'll need to go to a Community Transit Act event and participate in an easy, 20-minute training. Signatures need to be collected in-person from registered San Francisco voters.

With a cone in one hand and a clipboard in the other, we can help this uniquely grassroots campaign get on the ballot and win it. Safe Street Rebel electoral side-quest, let's go!
